February 5, 2007
Dear Parishioners:
Two weeks ago, I
explained to you the needs of our parish and announced the official
beginning of our
One Family – One Faith – One
Mission Capital Campaign.
We
are well underway with the planning and implementation of One Family
– One Faith – One Mission and I want to keep you informed with
some
additional information concerning the 57 year life of our parish and
actual cost estimates associated with the necessary repairs to our
facilities. Therefore, I have enclosed a summary of the repair costs
along with a parish fact sheet. Keep in mind, the repair
costs are not
listed in any particular order but roof replacements and air
conditioning for the sanctuary are certainly at the top of the
list.
I
also want to give you a timeline of things to come as we progress
towards the celebration of Saint Patrick, our Patron Saint, over the
weekend of March 17-18, 2007. Informational Pledge Packets
will be
distributed to all parish families the weekend of February 24-25, 2007
after all masses. Your time is valuable, so we have designed a pledge
packet to easily assist you in determining your sacrificial gift to One
Family – One Faith – One Mission. You
will be asked to prayerfully
consider your commitment before returning your pledge card the weekend
of March 3-4, 2007.
Parishioners who were not able to attend
mass that weekend will be contacted by one of our committee members and
encouraged to return their pledge card the following weekend.
Finally,
by the weekend of March 17-18, 2007 we will be in a position to
announce the pledge totals as we celebrate the feast of St. Patrick.
Hopefully,
you will agree that this is a simple process that will allow you to
make your commitment to One Family – One Faith –
One Mission in the privacy of your own home, after having had an opportunity to
prayerfully consider what you choose to return to God for the many
blessings God has given to you.
I have also enclosed a “Response Slip” should you
have a question about our
One Family – One Faith – One Mission campaign.
Thank you in advance for your continued prayers and generosity.
Yours in Christ,
Reverend Thomas McSherry, Pastor
