Dear Parishioners:
Over
the past year, the parish leadership has been discussing the repair and
maintenance needs at Saint Patrick’s.
Our
current facilities have grown tired with age.
Our Parish Church
sanctuary is threatened by roof
and water damage.
Roof and water damage have caused
the closing of our Daily
Mass Chapel.
Our
Church sanctuary needs
a new air conditioning system. Heating repairs and upgrades are
necessary, as
is the replacement of much of our interior and exterior lighting and
skylights.
Our
Church sanctuary is the
heart of Saint Patrick’s parish and we need to restore it to
good health.
The
roof of the Parish Center is
in need of replacement.
The Parish
Center
has several interior and exterior
projects that need to be completed.
The
Parish Rectory roof leaks and this has destroyed much of the flooring,
roof and
window replacement are needed at a minimum.
A
Campus wide security system is also necessary for Saint
Patrick’s.
This
is why I am announcing the official beginning of the Saint Patrick
Catholic
Church One Family – One Faith
– One
Mission Capital Campaign.
We
need to
raise $1,250,000 in cash pledges over the next three years to complete
the
repairs necessary for the continued use of our many parish facilities.
With the help of an Architect we
have
identified numerous areas of concern in our sanctuary, parish hall and
rectory. We need to
complete these repairs as quickly
as possible, but only once we have the necessary funding in hand. In other words, we will
prioritize the needs
and complete repairs as the cash from our capital campaign becomes
available. In the
meantime, we will pray for your
generosity and hope that the current poor conditions don’t
get much worse.
This
is an exciting time for our parish community.
I
hope that you will embrace One
Family – One Faith – One Mission with
your prayers for success, and
financially when asked to make a pledge in support of our many parish
needs.
Surrounded by Angels, together we can and will restore our
parish facilities to a proud and usable state.
Thank
you in advance for your prayerful support and generosity.
Yours in
Christ,
Reverend Thomas McSherry, Pastor
